The Bay is a back to basics gin and one of Dunedin Craft Distillers' 'Working Title' gins. Citrus and complex herbal notes predominate. Juniper and Coriander are macerated in their base spirit before final infusion with Bay Leaf and Lemon to create The Bay Gin. Complex and herbal with a bright citrus finish.

About
It began with a rant over coffee between friends about the tonnes of bakery products ending up in Dunedin landfill. The question arose, ‘Could we make alcohol from bread?’.

Some 18 months, and a huge learning curve later, Jenny McDonald and Sue Stockwell are the team behind Dunedin Craft Distillers. The two women share a sense of humour, a care for the environment and a reluctance to let anything go to waste - qualities which underpin every decision they make in their quest to mitigate the environmental cost of bread and bakery products going to landfill.
