The raw alcohol distilled from Windspiel's own potatoes is the basis for thier Premium Dry Gin. Paired with classic juniper berries, lavender and coriander, they result in a classic gin aroma with a fine mildness. Ginger roots, cinnamon bark and lemon peel, as well as other botanicals according to a secret recipe of the master distiller, ensure the special character of this gin.
Windspiel's gin is produced exclusively in complex, traditional manual work. They want to make their moments of pleasure as unique and distinctive as possible. Therefore, they only produce small quantities and do not use industrial production facilities.
What is the name of the Windspiel and its logo all about? Frederick the Great is said to have fallen in love with potatoes and it was he who started potato cultivation in Germany at the time. One of his hobbies were the elegant, lightning-fast greyhounds. He was so enthusiastic about the animals that he was even buried with them. When the founders grappled with the history of the potato, Frederick the Great's hobby inspired the naming of the first spirit and the company. Each bottle of Windspiel therefore adorns a sleek greyhound on the label.
